Improving the handling and efficiency of an existing device for sealing large areas
Initial Situation
There is already an existing device that works and is in use. The proportion of customers using the device was not as high as desired, as it was difficult to use and required a lot of manual adjustments.

The Challenge
The device must become more efficient and faster, be capable of much more, and be adapted in such a way that customers enjoy using it. Despite its speed, the device must still offer the highest quality when laying tiles.

The Solution
tech-solute worked with the customer to draw up a list of requirements and identify the most important points that the machine had to be able to do. Together with the customer, expertise was built up and the machine was modified in such a way that it was very well received by customers.
- Double the speed: Lay fleece on the roof twice as fast
- Customization: Speed can be adjusted in increments
- Less manpower required: Laying by hand is expensive, but with the redesigned machine, the time required is reduced to about one-third (previously 2-3 weeks, now 3-4 days)
- Easy to use
- The reinforcement fleece is completely saturated as it passes through, guided through a roller system, and applied to the surface without bubbles.

Our Tasks
- Defining requirements and methodically determining possible solutions
- Creating functional models (general function, with adjustable aluminum profiles)
- Prototype A (with welded frame, no longer adjustable)
- Optimization with customers in testing (design freeze)
- Build small series (including production documents, documentation)
- CE conformity (approval for the European area)
- UL certification for the USA will be carried out by the customer themselves at a later stage.
